1. On 28th April 2005 the Appellant, Brooklyn House Ltd, was convicted of three offences, and acquitted of a fourth, following a trial before Deputy District Judge Dean at the Central Norfolk Magistrates Court sitting at Swaffham. Brooklyn House is a care home for the elderly which is operated by the Appellant company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Caring Homes Limited, which owns and operates a number of other care homes in southern and eastern England. The Appellant is the registered person in respect of the care home in question.
